The Final Season of This Jessica Biel Crime Drama Just Hit Netflix and It’s Climbing Up the Site's Charts

It doesn’t take long for new content on Netflix to get noticed. And, this weekend, that’s exactly what happened to hit anthology series, The Sinner, when its final season was uploaded to the streaming site and it quickly made its way onto Netflix's list of most-watched shows.

Currently, the crime-thriller, based on Petra Hammesfahr’s 1999 novel of the same name, is sitting as the fourth most-watched show, right behind The Watcher, Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and The Midnight Club, and we'll be keeping our eyes peeled to see if it keeps moving up.

In short, The Sinner follows a detective (played by Bill Pullman) trying to solve a series of mysteries. In season one, Pullman's character aims to uncover answers about a woman’s unspeakable (and seemingly random) crimes by digging into the dark corners of her memory. Jessica Biel stars as Cora, the young mother with a seemingly perfect life…until, out of nowhere, she stabs an innocent man to death in broad daylight while horrified onlookers watch. The grisly incident is just the first crack in the facade hiding the darkness lurking in Cora’s past. Fair warning, this one is definitely dark.

In addition to Biel and Pullman, the first three seasons feature Dohn Norwood (Bruce Almighty), Adam LeFevre (She’s Out of My League), Christopher Abbott (It Comes at Night), Matt Bomer (American Horror Story) and Natalie Paul (The Deuce).

We also think it’s important to note that The Sinner received rave reviews from critics, including an impressive 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, so it’s definitely worth giving a shot.

Fans have probably been anxiously waiting for the final season to be uploaded to Netflix, which could explain how it's flying up the charts so quickly, after only being uploaded to the site a couple days ago.

When the final episode aired on USA back in December 2021, the show's producers shared a message to Instagram, which said, “Thank you for joining us on this ride through four incredible seasons. As Harry’s journey on #TheSinner comes to a close, we’re thrilled to have investigated along with you.”

We will definitely be streaming.
