It’s not even been a whole week since the highly anticipated The Bear season two debuted on FX (and later on Hulu), but it didn’t take long for the new installment to break a major streaming record.

According to Deadline, season two of The Bear has become the most-watched premiere of any FX series on Hulu, and has also seen a 70% increase in total hours viewed as compared to the previous season after the first four days on the platform.

What’s more, while the first season of the show currently holds the record of being the most-viewed comedy series ever on FX, the second installment is not too far behind and could be on track to beat its own record. Pretty impressive, right?

The first season of The Bear follows a young talented chef named Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (played by Jeremy Allen White), who returns to his hometown to manage a run-down restaurant previously owned by his late brother. Now, in season two, Carmy and the rest of The Original Beef crew try to revamp the old restaurant and change it for the better.

Ahead of the season two premiere, The Bear creator Christopher Storer sat down for an exclusive interview with Esquire and shared what’s in store for The Original Beef gang in the latest installment.

“In terms of the restaurant changing, it’s not that they’re going to lose all the charm of the restaurant,” he told the outlet. “We’re going to deal with this in season two. It’s more like: How can we do this and maybe make some money? And maybe make it easier? And maybe—maybe—start from a place that’s not f**ked?”
