Taylor Swift was recently crowned the top Artist of the 21st Century by Billboard. This wasn’t a huge surprise, since the 35-year-old singer has dominated headlines as of late. Although she was snubbed from the top songs list, the mag made up for the loss with its latest catalog.

Billboard recently released the list of Top Albums of the 21st Century. Swift was included not once, but twice in the top ten, but much to my surprise, she didn’t claim the number one spot. Instead, her 2008 album Fearless took the third place position, while her 2014 album 1989 came in fourth.

I was surprised to see that the number one spot went to Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album. Billboard wrote, “It ranked among the year’s top 10 most popular albums in 2021 (No. 1), 2022 (No. 3), 2023 (No. 5) and 2024 (No. 8), marking the first title to spend four years, consecutively or otherwise, in the year-end top 10 since the original Broadway cast recording to My Fair Lady (1956-59).”

Dangerous: The Double Album was followed by 21 by Adele, which claimed the second spot on the list. Rounding out the top ten are Hamilton: An American Musical by Original Broadway Cast Recording (5), One Thing at a Time by Wallen (6), Hollywood’s Bleeding by Post Malone (7), My Turn by Lil Baby (8), All the Right Reasons by Nickelback (9) and The Fame by Lady Gaga (10).

Two albums in the top ten is still a pretty big accomplishment, if you ask me.
