Steve Martin may have plans to slow down his acting career, but as far as I'm concerned, he'll always be one of the funniest (and most talented) people in Hollywood.
As of late, he's been keeping busy. He's currently nominated for a fourth consecutive year for a Golden Globe for Best Television Actor in a Musical or Comedy Series—thanks to his portrayal of Charles-Haden Savage in Only Murders in the Building. The Emmy-winning Hulu series is returning for a fifth season in 2025, but in addition to working on the show, Martin is making waves with his music career. Just a month ago, he released a new song called "Wall Guitar" with Alison Brown and Vince Gill. (Fun fact: plays the banjo and has won five Grammys.) Also, he and his pal Martin Short are currently doing their comedy tour, Dukes of Funnytown.
Considering his busy schedule, I can see why the actor intends to slow down after OMITB, which also earned him a 2024 Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Television Series Musical or Comedy. The actor revealed in 2022 that he intends to prioritize his family, including his wife, Anne Stringfield. He told The Hollywood Reporter, “I have a family life that’s really fun. To film a movie now, to go someplace else to live, I’m not willing to do that anymore. I can’t disappear for three months.”
So, it sounds like the Texas native will be looking at plenty of quality time with his loved ones. But who is Steve Martin's wife? With all the buzz surrounding the actor ahead of the Golden Globes on January 5, I figure now's as good a time as any to dive in on his missus. Here's what I found out.
