I’m a ’90s baby, so my childhood revolved around Power Rangers. Not only did I have every VHS displayed in our living room (lined up, in order), but I also had a plastic mask that made me feel like part of the Mighty Morphin team (despite the fact that it was cracked and dented from years of overuse).
But, like every kid, I eventually lost touch with the “magic.” And as time went on, I started to forget the Power Rangers trivia I used to fire off at family gatherings.
So, imagine my surprise this week when Netflix dropped the first trailer for the 30th anniversary film, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always (which will premiere on April 19), and the nostalgia all came flooding back.
In normal circumstances, the family-friendly movie isn’t something I’d prioritize in my streaming queue (I’m clearly too old for Power Rangers…right?). But once I watched the new trailer, all those positive memories from my childhood came rushing back that I assumed were long gone.
