Hear ye, hear ye, The Crown fans: The two actors playing Kate Middleton and Prince William in the award-winning series have just made their hard launch on social media.

This week, Netflix released the first-look photos from the final season of The Crown and fans got a chance to see the young faces that will portray the future royal couple.

The first pic takes audiences back to the early part of their relationship, where we see a young Prince William (Ed McVey) and Kate Middleton (Meg Bellamy) walking and holding hands together.

As royal admirers ourselves, we just have to take a moment to applaud the stars' likeness to the royals, from McVey in the young prince’s signature navy blue attire to Bellamy’s uncanny resemblance to the future princess with her blowout hairstyle

In another photo, we see a young Kate sitting in a lecture class taught at St. Andrews University, which also happens to be where the pair first met and eventually started dating.

In the early part of 2022, the casting department for The Crown was holding open auditions to find the actors who would portray the future Prince and Princess of Wales in the drama series. The young royal couple’s love story will be shown in the sixth and final season of the series, which originally was supposed to end after season five.

The Crown series creator Peter Morgan previously revealed that the show will now have six seasons and the upcoming installment will be taking the royal family into the early 2000s. Netflix has not confirmed a release date for the new season. But what we do know? The sixth season is currently in production after taking a brief pause to honor the passing of Queen Elizabeth

These photos definitely have us doing a double-take.
