Harrowing New Series About ‘TikTok Cult’ Hits #1 on Netflix (Knocking ‘Bridgerton’ Down to #2)

Not for the faint of heart

As expected, the hit series Bridgerton has been dominating Netflix’s top 10 shows list since the first half of season three arrived on the streaming platform. But now, there’s a new #1 show in town—and I think it looks seriously (seriously) intense.

Introducing Dancing for the Devil: the 7M TikTok Cult. The docuseries was only just added to the streaming platform and has already reached the top spot on the most-watched series list.

According to Netflix, “After TikTok dancers join a management company and its associated church, unsettling details about the founder and their dark realities come to light.” The series is quite the emotional roller coaster ride, depicting the harrowing experiences of former members of this “TikTok cult.”

The new series only features three episodes, ranging from 49 to 58 minutes in length, meaning it’s a fairly quick watch (though I don’t know if I’d call it bingeable since I’m sure I’ll have to decompress between episodes).

As I mentioned, Dancing for the Devil has knocked Bridgerton lower on the top 10 list (it now sits at #2). Rounding out the most-watched spots are Tires, Jurassic World Chaos Theory and Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal (another scandalous watch that reached #1 in only a day).

Similar to Dancing for the Devil, Ashley Madison is a three-episode docuseries, and it follows numerous couples whose lives were affected by the infamous Ashley Madison leak.

I think I know what I’ll be watching this weekend.
