Chris Stapleton isn’t slowing down anytime soon. The 45-year-old singer has received three 2024 Grammy Award nominations, including Best Country Song ("White Horse"), Best Country Duo/Group Performance ("We Don't Fight Anymore") and Best Country Solo Performance ("White Horse"). And there’s a good chance his wife, Morgane Stapleton, 41, will be there supporting him.

But, who is Chris Stapleton's wife of over 15 years? Here's everything you need to know about singer-songwriter Morgane Stapleton.

1. Who Is Chris Stapleton's Wife, Morgane Stapleton?

Morgane Stapleton, originally Morgane Hayes, was born January 25, 1983 in Nashville, Tennessee. Just like her husband, Morgane is a singer-songwriter, and she has penned hits for singers like Carrie Underwood, LeAnn Rimes and more. Meanwhile, she has also served as a background vocalist on her beau's albums.

For her collaboration with Chris on a cover of “You Are My Sunshine,” Morgane received a Country Music Award nomination in 2016 for Musical Event of the Year.

2. How Did Morgane and Chris Meet?

In an interview with Paste magazine, the pair revealed that they met while working at adjacent music publishing houses.

“I was friends with his song plugger and I would go hang out in her office like every day until he would open the back door, and we knew it was him coming down the hall by the way his footsteps were...he used to wear keys on his belt, so he would jingle,” Morgane humorously explained. “That’s how we hung out for a long time, and then he asked me if I wanted to write a song with him at six o'clock on Friday night, and we tried to write a song and I think we just ended up making out like most of the night...and here we are.”

3. Are Chris and Morgane Married?

Yes! The pair tied the knot on October 27, 2007. Chris commemorated the moment on Instagram in 2022, with a celebratory post that said, “15 years. I love you more today than I ever have. Happy anniversary, Morgane! [photo credits]: @bfluke & @andybarron.”

According to Us Weekly, Chris's wedding band is engraved with the phrase, “You Are My Sunshine,” based on the song of the same name (so it's no surprise that the two would later cover that track together).

4. Do Chris and Morgane Have Any Children?

The Stapletons have quite a full house, as they are currently the parents to five children.

While the musical couple keep their kids out of the spotlight, they have a son named Waylon, a daughter name Ada, 5-year-old twin boys named Macon and Samuel and a 4-year-old boy that they welcomed in 2019 (whose name has not yet been revealed).

In May 2019, Morgane made a post on Instagram about their fifth child, which read, “Sweet boy... It’s hard believe almost a month has already gone by. Time flies faster than I ever thought imaginable. My heart is so full!”

5. Have Morgane and Chris Ever Collaborated Together?

Chris and Morgane Stapleton seemingly love working together whether they're at home or in the studio. Morgane provides backing vocals on a large number of her husband's tracks, and when it came to his debut album, Traveller, Chris said that his better half was instrumental in the creation of the record.

In 2016, he told People, “I don’t give my wife any credit, she’s earned every bit of it. She’s the sounding board for everything. She’s a highly intuitive, wonderfully decisive and creative person. As a joke I say that she has great taste in everything but men.”

Talk about couple goals.
