Since we're all getting ready to swap our winter jackets and sweaters for spring dresses and bikinis, it's time to start going all in on glowing skin (sans the tanning bed, of course). You too? Allow me to introduce you to this Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Butter ($40, $34)—a creamy body butter that's formulated to moisturize your skin and provide natural-looking, buildable color. Now, just in time to soft-launch our summer tans, you can snag the super-sized version on sale at QVC to get you going and glowing.

The body butter contains a nourishing mix of coconut oilpeppermint oil and eucalyptus oil to hydrate and protect your skin while giving it a touch of golden color. According to the brand, all you need is one to two pumps per body part, which you can apply in place of your daily body lotion in smooth, circular motions for even coverage. It should leave you with an illuminated finish, and after about four hours, you should start to notice your tan developing. Just note that this butter is not meant for your face—you can use Isle of Paradise's editor-loved self-tanning face drops for that!

“I only use IoP self tanners—I use the drops on my face and the butter below the neck. I’m very fair, and this is so hydrating and no streaks," writes one fan of the product. "I exfoliate, dry off, put moisturizer on my hands, feet, ankles and knees, and use this like I would use any moisturizer, just making sure everything is covered. Love this."

While reviewers have mixed opinions on the scent of the product and the color of the tan it creates, plenty of buyers swear by the stuff. As another shopper says, "I have tried many tanning products but this by far is the best one yet. It looks so natural and doesn't look orange like some products do. Plus a bonus: It lasts more than a week. Once I get to where I want I just reapply every few days and it looks beautiful." That said, as with any skincare product, it’s always best to start small to see how your skin reacts before using a large amount. For best results, the brand also advises users to clean and exfoliate the skin in areas where they wish to apply the butter.

Isle of Paradise

Sounds like the Self-Tanning Butter is the move to make this spring (and beyond). While you're at it, you might want to throw in the brand's Self-Tanning Drops duo ($32) to get you glowing from head to toe.
