Augustinus Bader The Mineral Sunscreen.

I have to be honest, I love Augustinus Bader. Yes, the luxurious skincare brand's products are pricey (and yes, I'm looking at you, my beloved Rich Cream), but they really do work wonders on the skin. From minimizing fine lines and evening out your complexion to, as of now, protecting your skin from the sun's harmful rays.

That's right, y'all. The celeb-loved brand—which has a stamp of approval from the likes of Victoria Beckham and Hailey Bieber—recently dropped its *first-ever* sunscreen, the Mineral Sunscreen ($140). While it boasts SPF 50 protection (which, BTW, is like the gold standard in suncare), it's also powered by Professor Augustinus Bader's legendary TFC8, the innovative formula known for making skin look and feel healthier in no time. In other words, this new product isn't just a sunscreen—it's where suncare meets skincare, and you're so going to want in on it.

If you're familiar with Augustinus Bader products, you already know all of them are formulated with a blend of natural amino acids, high-grade vitamins and peptides. Also known as Trigger Factor Complex, TFC8 essentially creates and supports an optimal environment for cellular renewal while addressing a slew of skincare concerns, from fine lines and wrinkles to redness and hyperpigmentation. Over time, it results in healthier, firmer and stronger skin. So, even though the Mineral Sunscreen's main job is to protect your skin from the sun, it does *a lot* more than that.

In addition to TFC8, it's packed with cotton seed extract, microalgae extract *and* raspberry seed oil. While these ingredients serve different purposes, they work together to restore and protect skin from UV damage, stress and premature aging. Think I'm overhyping it? Maybe you just need to hear it from Professor Bader, MD, PhD, himself:

"The Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 represents a breakthrough in skincare science," he explains. "It features a novel dual-action technology that shields the skin and combats the signs of aging and damage inflicted by UV rays. We carefully crafted the formula with skincare-first ingredients for optimal performance and wear...Powered by our proprietary TFC8 and mineral UV screens, this groundbreaking combination sets a new benchmark in sun protection and skin health."

Augustinus Bader

Wondering if the brand's non-nano Mineral Sunscreen leaves a white cast behind? According to the brand, it shouldn't. Every morning, all you need to do is apply a small amount to your face as the last step of your routine, and the water-resistant sunscreen should effortlessly soak into the skin.

Now for the question on everyone's mind: Can this product replace your moisturizer (you know, since it's suncare and skincare all in one)? The brand says it depends on your skin needs but recommends that you layer it with a standalone moisturizer (say the brand's Rich Cream that PureWow editors, including myself, are obsessed with) to get the best benefits. So, I'll let you ponder over whether to scoop up this product for spring and summer, but if you ask me, all Augustinus Bader buys are worth the investment.
