Queen Elizabeth's Granddaughter Zara Tindall Rocks Ruffled Blouse and Leather Shorts at Friend's Birthday Party

While we might picture royal life as all work and no play, even members of the royal family are allowed to kick back sometimes.

This past weekend, Zara Tindall—the daughter of Princess Anne and the twenty-first in the line of succession to the throne—celebrated the 40th birthday of her friend, Storm Keating.

Keating, who is a fashion designer and blogger, posted a hoard of pictures from the festivities on her Instagram account. In a few of the photos, Tindall can be seen enjoying the events of the evening, including one moment in the fourth picture, where it looks like the partygoers are playing some kind of game because they all have their hands placed on their head.

In the ninth photo, we get an even better glimpse of Tindall, where we can see the simple but chic outfit she chose for the event. For her ensemble, Tindall donned a ruffled blouse from ba&sh, which features a tie neckline and smocked cuffs. She paired the transfixing design with black leather shorts.

We got a better glimpse of her outfit in the second pic of another post from Keating, where Tindall was seen laughing with the birthday girl and their pal, fitness instructor Helen Westwood.

Tindall herself celebrated her 40th birthday earlier this year. While details of her party were kept under wraps, we assume she spent the special occasion with her family at Gatcombe Park, the residence she shares with her husband, Mike. Her three children, Mia (7), Lena (3) and 7-month-old Lucas, were probably in attendance as well.

We're glad to see you're having a good time, Zara (and looking good as per usual).
