Priyanka Chopra Shares Sweet Story with Fans: ‘I Don’t Do This Often’

Inspiration has a funny way of finding us—sometimes in the middle of nature, other times through a random act of kindness. For Priyanka Chopra, it happened during her recent travels, and naturally, she took to social media to share the heartwarming moment.

In a selfie video posted to Instagram, the Citadel star recounted a chance encounter that left a lasting impact. "So! I don't do this often, but I was very inspired today," she began. Chopra explained that while driving to Visakhapatnam airport on her way to Mumbai, she spotted a woman selling guavas on the street. "I love kaccha (unripe) guavas! So I stopped her and I asked, ‘How much for all your guavas?’"

The woman replied that they cost 150 rupees, so Chopra handed her a 200 rupees and told her to keep the change. But what happened next took her by surprise.

"She obviously sold guavas for a living. She went away for a little while but before the red light changed to green, she came back and gave me two more guavas!" Chopra said, clearly moved. "A working woman, she did not want charity. It really moved me."

And yes, she had receipts. The next slide in her post? A snapshot of the guavas she received.

While Chopra was busy getting life lessons on hard work and integrity, she was also playing the role of a supportive wife. Just a day before, she cheered on her husband, Nick Jonas, as he made his grand return to Broadway for the first night of previews for The Last Five Years.

"So proud of you @nickjonas," she wrote in an Instagram Story on March 18, per E! News, sharing a black-and-white photo of the stage. She followed it up with a snap of her Playbill, adding, "First preview."
