After months of searching for the right person to lead her lifestyle brand, Meghan Markle has reportedly decided to take the reins herself, appointing herself CEO of American Riviera Orchard.

The move comes after months of speculation and rumors that the 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex was struggling to find a suitable candidate for the role. According to Page Six, sources revealed that the search wasn’t going as smoothly as expected, with one Hollywood insider even describing the behind-the-scenes situation as a "s–t show." The difficulty in securing a CEO for the brand raised questions about its progress, but sources confirmed that Markle is, in fact, fully in charge.

“She is the CEO of American Riviera Orchard,” one insider clarified, dismissing the rumors about her struggles to fill the position.

Meghan first announced the launch of American Riviera Orchard in March 2024, and despite the months of planning, there’s still no official release date or clear details about what products will be available. However, sources tell the outlet that Markle has been working tirelessly behind the scenes, gearing up for a big year ahead. As she navigates the complexities of building her brand, it’s clear that Meghan has big plans for 2025, with a slew of exciting projects on the horizon.

In the meantime, Meghan and Prince Harry have been giving fans a glimpse into their 2024, which has been a whirlwind year for the couple. They shared a video set to Coldplay’s “A Sky Full of Stars,” capturing rare moments from their international travels to Canada, Nigeria and Colombia. The video also showcased behind-the-scenes footage of Meghan at a conference and Prince Harry participating in a panel discussion.
