Kelly Ripa Is Bringing Back Shoulder Pads (Again) on Today’s Episode of ‘Live

Kelly Ripa is giving off some major ’80s vibes on today’s episode on Live with Kelly and Ryan. The 50-year-old television personality opted for a dress with shoulder pads and this isn’t the first time she’s broken it out of her closet.

On Wednesday, the producers of the morning show shared their daily behind-the-scenes clip on the show’s official Instagram page. In the video, we see Ripa and her 45-year-old co-host, Ryan Seacrest, taking a seat on stage and announcing today’s date. “We’re live now!” the post’s caption read.

For the occasion, Ripa looked chic in a yellow suede dress from Isabel Marant. She paired the piece with a snakeskin belt, also from the French brand. While the dress is unfortunately sold out online, the Lecce Velvet-Finish print waist-cinching accessory is still (somehow) available online for $230.

And we weren’t the only ones who noticed that yellow is definitely the mother of three’s color. Fans and followers on Instagram shared a variety of kind words and compliments in the comments section, “Love Kelly’s outfit!” while another added a ton of yellow heart emojis.

As we revealed above, this isn’t the first time Ripa opted to rock the piece on the show. In fact, she’s worn the dress a total of five times in the last two years (!). The most recent was during the January 25, 2021 episode. However, during that installment, she donned a pair of sleek, black pumps and a matching black belt.

She also wore the piece three times in 2020 (on January 27, December 7 and November 2); though she originally debuted it on December 26, 2019.
