It’s been about five months since Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake surprised us with the arrival of their second child. And now, we finally know the baby’s name.
Over the weekend, Timberlake appeared on a virtual episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. During the interview, the 39-year-old singer revealed that his second child’s name is Phineas.
“He’s awesome and so cute. Nobody’s sleeping,” he said. “But we’re thrilled. We’re thrilled and couldn’t be happier. Very grateful.”
Although Timberlake joked that he and Biel “don’t see each other anymore,” the singer confirmed that their firstborn, Silas (5), is adjusting to life with a baby brother.
“It’s a lot of fun,” he continued. “I guess the saying goes, go from a zone defense to a man-to-man really quickly. It’s great. Silas is super excited.”
We first learned about the couple’s second child back in 2020 when Brian McKnight (who’s a longtime friend) discussed the new baby in an interview with Hollywood Life.
“Having kids and having his family, I think [Justin] took some time to focus on those things because those things are very important,” McKnight told the outlet. “I think if he’s going to do music, he’s going to make sure that that’s secure, and then he’ll bring us into his music. And being inspired! He just had a new baby. I think that’s going to be really inspiring for him and he’ll have some new music based on that, I’m sure.”
Pleased to meet you, Phineas.
