In the trailer, we’re introduced to an aspiring writer, Jenny (Rodriguez), who is nearing the end of her nine-year relationship with her boyfriend (Lakeith Stanfield). When Jenny lands her dream job at a magazine in San Francisco, the couple parts ways…for good.
So, she turns to her two best friends, Blair (Brittany Snow) and Erin (DeWanda Wise), who offer advice before agreeing to join her for a night out in New York City.
“This is the end of an era,” she says. “Everything is changing.”
Of course, their girls’ night out leads to new flings, memories and hangovers that can only be cured by drinking a green juice mimosa. (Yes, it’s a thing.)
The film is written and directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Sweet/Vicious). Paul Feig (Freaks and Geeks), Jessie Henderson (Snatched), Anthony Bregman (Living with Yourself) and Peter Cron (American Ultra) are serving as executive producers.
Someone Great will hit Netflix on April 19, and our green juice mimosa is patiently waiting.
