21 Movies Like ‘Mean Girls’ That Are So Fetch

When it comes to teen comedy movies, Mean Girls is (and will always be) the gold standard. Not only does it have all the makings of a brilliant coming-of-age story, but it also features unforgettable one-liners, nuanced characters and a *very* sultry take on “Jingle Bell Rock.” Simply put, not too many titles measure up to Tina Fey’s cultural masterpiece. But fortunately for us, there are quite a few that come close.

In honor of Mean Girls Day (aka October 3), we're making “fetch” happen with these 21 movies like Mean Girls, available on Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ and more.

Who’s in it? Rose McGowan, Rebecca Gayheart, Julie Benz, Judy Greer, Charlotte Ayanna

10. Freaky Friday (2003)

Who’s in it? Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan, Harold Gould, Chad Michael Murray

When longtime besties Romy (Sorvino) and Michele (Kudrow) are invited to attend their high school reunion, they worry that their mediocre lifestyles will pale in comparison to their peers. So, in order to impress their old classmate, both decide to fabricate new, successful lives. Yes, we’re technically dealing with adults here, but it tackles a lot of coming-of-age themes, from friendships to fitting in.

13. The DUFF (2015)

Who’s in it? Mae Whitman, Robbie Amell, Bella Thorne, Nick Eversman, Skyler Samuels

What's it about? After getting dumped by his cheerleader girlfriend, Zack (Prinze Jr.) agrees to take on a wager, where he must turn an outsider, Laney (Cook), into the next prom queen. Fair warning, the entire film is a bit dated, but we imagine that Cady’s transformation into a “Plastic” was partly inspired by Zack's little sister working her magic on Laney.

Who’s in it? Kirsten Dunst, Eliza Dushku, Jesse Bradford, Gabrielle Union
