Netflix’s New Show ‘Marriage or Mortgage’ Is a Cross Between ‘Selling Sunset’ and ‘Say I Do’

Every new couple faces the same obstacles after getting engaged, especially when it comes to planning the wedding of your dreams versus saving for your future. Sound familiar? If so, then this all-new Netflix reality show is right up your alley.

The streaming service just dropped the first official trailer for the upcoming competition series Marriage or Mortgage, which follows real-life couples as they decide between 1. throwing the wedding of their dreams or 2. buying their forever home. (Think of it as a cross between Selling Sunset and Say I Do.)

The clip introduces viewers to Sarah Miller (a wedding planner) and Nichole Holmes (a real-estate agent), who are both competing to win the business of each engaged couple. Although the subjects are ready to begin their lives as partners, they’re torn between investing in the marriage versus their future.

Marriage or Mortgage follows the experts as they meet with each pair to learn about their needs and finances and then pitch a budget-friendly idea for planning a wedding and buying a house. The couple then makes a drastic decision: marriage or mortgage?

“How do we pick between the day we deserve, and we want…and the future?” a voiceover says in the clip.

Marriage or Mortgage will hit Netflix on March 10.
