What’s Christina Applegate’s Net Worth? She Has *Way* More Than Just ‘Dead to Me’ Money

She may be best known for her roles as Jen Harding on Dead to Me and Veronica Corningstone in Anchorman, but Christina Applegate’s resume is way more impressive than we ever realized. And her wealth can prove it.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, the 50-year-old actress has an estimated net worth of $25 million. Keep reading for everything we know about Christina Applegate’s net worth and how she amassed her fortune.

1. Her Early Acting Career

Since she was born into a Hollywood family (her father was a record producer and her mother is a singer and actress), Applegate wasted no time getting into show business—and building up her large net worth.

Aside from a series of commercials and guest gigs, her first major role was as Kelly Bundy on the long-running sitcom Married with Children. Applegate played Bundy for ten seasons, reportedly earning over $125 thousand per episode. During the same decade, she also appeared in a handful of TV movies and even landed her first hosting gig on Saturday Night Live.

2. Her Biggest Films

After her successful stint on Married with Children, the California native appeared in shows like Friends, King of the Hill, Father of the Bride, Reno 911!, Samantha Who?, Up All Night and The Muppets.

As for her movie roles, she starred in films such as The Sweetest Thing, Surviving Christmas, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead and Bad Moms.

One of her biggest roles was as Veronica Corningstone alongside Will Ferrell in the comedy Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. She also appeared in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel and its series, including Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip!

3. Dead To Me

Perhaps one of her most impressive (and most likely pocket filling) roles to date is as Jen Harding on the hit Netflix series Dead to Me. Applegate has starred alongside fellow actress Linda Cardellini for two successful seasons of the series, which follows two women who strike up an unlikely friendship at a grief support group. Oh, and did we mention she was nominated for an Emmy?

Netflix recently announced that Dead to Me season 3 will premiere on November 17. However, series creator Liz Feldman also revealed the third season will likely be the show’s last, so we’re expecting a jam-packed story line.

“From start to finish, Dead to Me is exactly the show I wanted to make. And it’s been an incredible gift,” Feldman said in a statement, according to Deadline. “Telling a story sprung from grief and loss has stretched me as an artist and healed me as a human. I’ll be forever indebted to my partners in crime, my friends for life, Christina and Linda, and our brilliantly talented writers, cast and crew. I am beyond grateful to Netflix for supporting Dead to Me from day one, and I’m thrilled to continue our collaboration.”

Taking into account Applegate's early TV work, her successful film career and her Netflix series, it's easy to see how she racked up such a large net worth.
