‘Virgin River’ Star Annette O’Toole Poses for a Selfie with Two Castmates

There’s nothing we love more than seeing a new Virgin River update on our Instagram feed.

Last week, Virgin River actress Annette O’Toole—who plays Hope McCrea on the show—posted a snapshot with her two co-stars, Sarah Dugdale (Lizzie) and Kai Bradbury (Denny). In the pic, the trio appeared to be all smiles as they stood in front of their trailers on set.

Her two castmates came across the post and were quick to show their love in the comments section. Dugdale wrote in the comments, “Such a treat working with you Annette!” with a pink heart emoji. Bradbury, who plays her character’s step-grandson on the show, said, “I love this shot! [yellow heart emoji].”

Some fans of the show took the time to comment on her return, with one person writing, “So glad you are back in Season 4. We really missed having you on screen. [red heart emoji] #teamhope.” Another person chimed in and said, “Season 4 was so good, can’t wait for season 5! I loved that we got to have more Hope this season.”

Viewers may recall O’Toole’s character wasn’t really present in Virgin River season three (due to pandemic precautions), but she made her official return in season four. So what’s next for Hope in season five? O’Toole recently hinted at a major change for her character in the upcoming installment.

In a new interview with The List, the 70-year-old actress revealed that she’d love to see the political side of Hope’s career as a mayor explored more in the narrative. “I would like to see what she does. What is that like?” she told the outlet.

She continued, “On a local level, that political scene, especially in our country right now [with] what's going on, we have to start. The mayor, the legislators, the town council meeting—those things are hugely important, and that's where we have to focus a lot of our political energy.”

We never get tired of Virgin River cast updates.
