Denim Dresses

Fall is prime jean jacket season, but if recent street-style photos (and Instagram posts) are any indication, November is going to be all about the denim dress. Fancied up with over-the-knee boots or dressed-down with a striped sweater, this style of frock is so of the moment.

Scandi Festive

You could deck the halls with boughs of holly, or you could get in on Etsy’s coziest holiday decorations trend of 2018: Scandi Festive. With '"modern rustic" decor enjoying a 142 percent increase in Pinterest searches YOY and more than 7.7 million related queries on Etsy, Scandi Festive is like IKEA, but in a heated barn. The trend includes things like textured linens, galvanized steel tableware and platters, earthy greenery like pine and rosemary, wreaths made out of wheat and grain and woodcut placeholders and gift tags.

Slow Dating

In the age of Tinder and Bumble, finding a partner can feel stressful. (All that swiping is overstimulating—and exhausting.) Enter slow dating, a trend made popular by the dating app Once, which selects just one match for its users each day. The idea is that taking a slower, quality-over-quantity approach to dating will yield longer-lasting results. Even if you don’t download the app, expect to see a return to a more intentional, long-game dating in the coming year.

Butt Masks

Colder weather is finally here, and that means dry, dehydrated skin. But instead of just focusing on your face, some brands want you to show a little love to your…butt? Bawdy's butt mask firms and hydrates your bum and makes your skin beyond soft. Plus, a butt mask is kind of a fun thing to bring up in conversations, no?

Foodie Advent Calendars

‘Tis the season for advent calendars, and this year’s offerings are majorly food-focused. Think: wine and cheese, mini cheese wheels, sparkling wine, Baileys and chocolate and, yes, Pringles.

Voting

The midterms are upon us, people, and we can’t stress enough how important it is to hit the polls on November 6. Find out where and when you can vote in your state, and go do it. You don’t want to be the only person at the office (or school pickup or book club) without an "I Voted" sticker, do you?
