I am, of course, talking about the just-released Kindle Colorsoft ($280) from Amazon, which has the same convenient 7-inch display as the fan-favorite Paperwhite, but as its name suggests, offers it in *color*. This is huge news for digital bookworms—so take this as your not-so-subtle hint to gift it to your favorite bibliophile for the holidays. For one thing, anyone who likes to highlight or annotate their books will love being able to organize their thoughts with different colored highlighters. Not to mention, it's a total game-changer for graphic novel lovers, who can now fully immerse themselves in the illustrated content via Kindle. And though it might be a small thing to some, I'm especially excited about finally being able to see fantasy world maps in better detail.

According to Amazon, the Kindle Colorsoft's battery can last up to eight weeks on a single charge (it's also compatible with this convenient wireless charging dock), and it has 32 gigabytes of storage, so you shouldn't have any concerns about running out of space for your digital library. It's also waterproof like other Kindle models, so you'll have no issues relaxing with your current read in the bath or poolside on your next vacay. As for covers, you have plenty of options there—from a plant-based leather to lightweight fabric and premium leather—and I have a feeling even more are on their way to Etsy as we speak.

Some TikTok creators do mention that the color display can take a bit long to load and appear less sharp than they hoped, but overall, this new Kindle sounds *seriously* impressive, IMO, and I can't wait to get my hands on it.
