‘Virgin River’ Star Colin Lawrence Posts Rare Message to Fans on IG

Virgin River star, Colin Lawrence, who plays John "Preacher" Middleton released a rare message to fans on his Instagram account.

On Monday, the 51-year-old actor posted a screenshot to social media with a heartfelt, personal message about the fan-favorite show.

Lawrence wrote, "Very proud of our little show. And a BIG THANK YOU to all our fans around the globe #viginriver #netflix."

The posted picture shows a screenshot of Deadline's official report on the 2021 Top 15 Streaming Programs (Originals). Ranked in the number four spot, one spot behind Great British Baking Show, was beloved Virgin River, with a total of 30 episodes and three seasons available to stream on Netflix. The show, which was picked up for a fourth and fifth season in 2021, just ranked above Netflix's Bridgerton and Youtwo shows that made headlines for breaking record views and holding on to the number one spot in the past.

Lawrence's appreciation and gratitude for the show and the fans' viewership did not go unnoticed. Many were quick to leave supportive messages for the actor saying, "Colin, considering that I'm on my 6th round of watching the series...Hope it continues! Thank you for your work." Some raved "Love preacher," while others contested the report, "Should be #1."

Last month in December, fans were teased with a picture of "Preacher" on set shooting final scenes for season four of Virgin River. Filming has supposedly wrapped already and season four is speculated to be released in the summer or fall of 2022.

While we are all eager for more details to be released, the wait gives us plenty of time to rewatch the series and bump Virgin River up a few spots on the list.
