The Trader Joe’s Dog Advent Calendar Is Back (and It’s Only $6)

From Tiffany & Co. to Harry Potter, the Advent calendars are rolling in for the whole family to enjoy. So last year we jumped for joy when Trader Joe's gave our furry friends a calendar of their own.

Now, our fave grocer is bringing back the popular dog Advent calendar just in time to give your good boy or girl a treat all holiday season. (No tricks required.)

Each box will be filled with delicious treats your dog will wag their tails for. The salmon and sweet potato treats are shaped like fun toys, guaranteed to make your dog anticipate treat time every day.

Oh, and dog owners aren't the only one getting in on the holiday fun. TJ's will now start selling Advent calendars for cats, so the feline in your life can enjoy their own treats too. Vice president of product marketing Matt Solan and vice president of merchandising Colin Fields dropped the news on the Inside Trader Joe's podcast back in October.

"Last year we came out with the dog Advent calendar, which seemed pretty odd until we got out in the stores and there was quite a following for it," said Fields. "And we heard from our feline-loving customers that we should have something for their cats. So we found it, we developed it, and it's pretty cool."

Both calendars will be $6. No word on when it'll be released in stores, but we know pet owners will be keeping an eye on the aisles.
