Taylor Swift Fans Are Freaking Out Over This Hidden Instagram Message

From posting social media riddles to incorporating hidden album messages, Taylor Swift knows how to turn her fans into mini Olivia Bensons (the one from Law and Order, not the cat). Thanks to her mysterious tactics, the internet has now resorted to examining each one of the 30-year-old singer’s selfies for clues.

Yesterday, Swift posted a seemingly innocent photo on her personal Instagram account and wrote, “Not a lot going on at the moment.”

Sound familiar? It’s probably because the quote is a reference to the singer’s “22” music video, which featured her wearing a shirtdress that read, “Not a lot going on at the moment.”

As Marie Claire points out, fans were quick to zero in on the exact time Swift posted the photo: 5:08 p.m. This might not mean much to the general public, but to Swifties, the numbers are significant. 5 and 8 add up to the singer’s lucky no. 13.

Yes, it could be a coincidence. But it could also signify that Swift is dropping a surprise song, music video or—dare we say—album on Friday, May 8 (aka 5/8). Many fans believe she previously filmed a video for her popular 2019 song “Cruel Summer” and that this post might hint at its impending arrival. which is two minutes and 58 seconds long. (Not kidding.)

We know, it sounds totally far-fetched, but it wouldn’t be the first time Swift dropped hints that only her fans could decipher, so we’re admittedly intrigued.

Look what she made us do.
