They speak volumes

Calling all Swifties! Taylor Swift just subtly honored her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, after he scored his first touchdown of the season.

Over the weekend, Kelce’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs, defeated the Las Vegas Raiders in a 27-20 showdown. The 35-year-old football player was all smiles after scoring his first touchdown that coincidentally took place on National Tight Ends Day.

Unfortunately, Swift was unable to attend the game because she had an Eras Tour performance in New Orleans that same day. However, the 34-year-old singer still paid tribute to her boyfriend by copying Kelce’s go-to celebration move while singing “Midnight Rain.”

The tribute took place shortly after Swift sang the lyrics: “And he never thinks of me / Except when I'm on TV.” Right on cue, the singer lifted both her arms and pointed, mimicking Kelce’s now-famous move. As People magazine noted, she even kissed three of her fingers and lifted them in the air, potentially teasing a three-peat Super Bowl appearance for Kelce and the Chiefs.

Swift loves finding ways to support her boyfriend, and these supportive gestures speak volumes about their relationship. First, they imply that Swift is constantly thinking about Kelce and how she can subtly honor him from afar. They also prove that she’s very in-tune with what’s happening in his career. While she’s busy building her own empire, she still finds time to watch Sunday football—the true test of a dedicated girlfriend.

Subtle, yet meaningful.
