Rihanna Opens Up About Growing Her Family of Four in New Interview

Rihanna and her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, currently share two children together: RZA, 1, and Riot Rose, 8 months. But does the “Work” singer have more children on the brain?

As the new cover model for Interview’s spring issue, the 36-year-old musician and entrepreneur sat down with the publication and confirmed she wants to have more children in the future. “As many as God wants me to have,” she explained. “I don’t know what God wants, but I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl. But of course, if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”

Rihanna and A$AP welcomed their first baby boy (RZA Athelston Mayers) in May 2022, just months after debuting her baby bump while walking the snowy streets of Harlem, New York, with her man. Fast forward to February 2023, the Fenty Beauty founder announced her second pregnancy during the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show. And months later, the singer gave birth to her second boy, Riot Rose, who turned their family of three into four. 

In the past, Rihanna has expressed her desire to have a big family. While talking to Vogue in March 2020, the “Umbrella” singer revealed that she wants to have three or four children. “I feel like society makes me want to feel like, ‘Oh, you got it wrong.’ They diminish you as a mother if there's not a dad in your kids' lives,” the singer said. “But the only thing that matters is happiness—that's the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. That's the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love.”
