Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their royal positions and moved to the United States, there has been more distance between them and the rest of the royal family, especially after that tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
However, Prince Harry has now returned to the U.K. twice in the last few months—once for Prince Philip's funeral and the other for the unveiling of his mother's statue at Kensington Palace—and we've seen friendly interactions between him and his family members.
According to a report from The Telegraph, it seems that there may be one royal family member who is acting as a "peacekeeper" amongst everyone: Princess Eugenie.
This would make sense given that the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson has spent some personal time with Prince Harry and the two have remained close throughout the years. Meanwhile, the princess also knew Meghan Markle before the duchess even met her future husband. As one source told The Telegraph, “Eugenie knows them better than any of the royals in a way. She was there from the beginning.”
