Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie Wrote a Joint Tribute to Queen Elizabeth II

Members of the royal family continue to share tributes to Queen Elizabeth II on social media, and the latest comes from two of the late monarch's grandchildrenPrincess Beatrice, 34, and Princess Eugenie, 32.

Since the Queen's passing on September 8, we've seen special messages from Prince William, Prince Harry and more. Now, the daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson have shared their own homage.

“Our dearest Grannie,” they wrote. “We've not been able to put much into words since you left us all. There have been tears and laughter, silences and chatter, hugs and loneliness, and a collective loss for you, our beloved Queen and our beloved Grannie. We, like many, thought you'd be here forever. And we all miss you terribly.”

The sisters added, “You were our matriarch, our guide, our loving hand on our backs leading us through this world. You taught us so much and we will cherish those lessons and memories forever.”

On Saturday, September 17, the two princesses joined their six cousins—Prince William, 40, Prince Harry, 38, Zara Tindall, 41, Peter Phillips, 44, Lady Louise Windsor, 18, and James, Viscount Severn, 14— for a vigil to Her Royal Majesty at Westminster Hall.

At the event, the group processed into the hall and stood around the Queen's coffin, where they spent 15 minutes in silence in a show of respect for the late monarch.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie shared their post right around the time of the vigil, and in it, they revealed how much love and respect they felt for their grandmother.

“For now dear Grannie, all we want to say is thank you,” they wrote. “Thank you for making us laugh, for including us, for picking heather and raspberries, for marching soldiers, for our teas, for comfort, for joy. You, being you, will never know the impact you have had on our family and so many people around the world.”

They closed their message by writing, “The world mourns you and the tributes would really make you smile. They are all too true of the remarkable leader you are. We're so happy you're back with Grandpa. Goodbye dear Grannie, it has been the honor of our lives to have been your granddaughters and we're so very proud of you. We know that dear Uncle Charles, the King, will continue to lead in your example as he too has dedicated his life to service.” The princesses then signed the message, “With our love, Beatrice and Eugenie.”

What a beautiful tribute from Queen Elizabeth's grandchildren.
