Lohan also confirmed that while she's best known for her cozy rom-coms, she's open to exploring different genres. She said, "I definitely want to branch out to other genres, just to stretch my abilities. And, you know, I'd be doing myself a disservice if I didn't try other roles and other characters and look different in films, [or] ensemble cast roles and working with the directors that I dream to work with. That, I really want to do and start focusing on."
Fortunately for longtime fans (me included), Lohan still intends to revisit her rom-com roots. She explained, "I will never not do romantic comedies, because I know that the people that I've grown up with who watch the movies I make, I want to always continue to have those movies throughout my career. I think it's important to have movies where we can go to the theater, escape, laugh, relate and forget about everything in the outside world for a minute and take a positive message from it when we leave. That's something that's always a part of me, and as an actor, I want to continue to always have that."
Regarding her partnership with Pure Leaf, Lohan said, "I love tea, and I'm big on taking breaks now, especially having a baby. I think it's really important that everyone in general makes time in their schedules to just pause. I was really excited to partner with Pure Leaf, to revitalize the tea break culture. We all deserve time to reset."
Our Little Secret drops on Netflix in November, but in the meantime, I'll happily revisit my favorite Lohan classics.
