Today is a very special day for Katie Holmes's daughter, Suri Cruise.
The young teen is celebrating her 15th birthday, and to mark the occasion, Holmes shared a trio of never-before-seen black-and-white photos of her daughter on Instagram. She wrote, "Happy 15th Birthday Sweetheart! I love you!!!!!!!! I can’t believe you are already 15!" TBH, same.
The first photo appears to be a throwback of her with two of her childhood friends, and in the second, we see Holmes and her daughter sharing a hug. In the third, the mother-daughter duo sport matching pajamas as Suri excitedly hugs her mom.
As you may have noticed from her IG page, the 42-year-old mom is typically private when it comes to her daughter, but fans were happy to see Holmes offer a rare glimpse in honor of Suri's birthday. Stars like Viola Davis and Laura Brown shared their well wishes in the comments, and actress Bailee Madison wrote, "Happy happy 15th!! Can’t believe she is 15 now. All my love to you both."
Fans may not get to see a lot of Suri on social media, but Holmes did give some rare insight into her daughter's personality while speaking with InStyle in September.
She said, “I love her so much. My biggest goal has always been to nurture her into her individuality. To make sure she is 100 percent herself and strong, confident and able. And to know it. She came out very strong—she's always been a strong personality. She'll pick an activity and work her butt off until she's really good at it. Then she's like, ‘OK, I'm going to try the next thing.’ She's very focused and a hard worker.”
Looks like Suri is well on her way to becoming just like her hard-working mom.
