In fact, Prince William released a heartfelt message on Monday, August 26, where he dedicated a touching tribute to former England football manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, who passed away at the age of 76 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

In a new tweet shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales’s X (formerly Twitter) page, Prince William wrote, “Sad to hear about the passing of Sven-Göran Eriksson. I met him several times as England manager and was always struck by his charisma and passion for the game. My thoughts are with his family and friends. A true gentleman of the game.” At the end of the note, the future monarch signed with his initial: “W.”
