Kate Middleton and Prince Louis Shared Adorable Mother-Son Moment on Royal Balcony—and I Almost Missed it

This was the second adorable pic of the duo from the event, as earlier in the day, Princess Catherine and Prince Louis also shared an endearing moment as they rode in a carriage together.

Prince Louis wasn’t the only one Princess Catherine shared a lighthearted exchange with. She also had one with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, 9, while standing on the balcony. In this heartwarming moment, photographers captured the Princess of Wales with her cheeks sucked in and her eyes wide as she playfully glanced down at her middle child.

The 42-year-old royal was her usual poised and stunning self with her family during the appearance, which marked her return to the public eye after undergoing abdominal surgery earlier this year and revealing her cancer diagnosis in March.

Just one day before attending the Trooping the Colour, Middleton announced her plans to attend and also shared a major health update on Instagram.

After thanking everyone for their “messages of support and encouragement,” the Princess of Wales revealed that she’s “making good progress.”

“I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet,” she added.

As Middleton acknowledged that her health journey will have ups and downs, it looks like this event was one of the ups and I’m looking forward to seeing more of her (and her amazing outfits) this summer.
