Kaley Cuoco is a busy gal these days.
The 34-year-old actress has been focusing on her new production company, Yes, Norman Productions, which involves two roles—voicing the titular character in DC Universe's Harley Quinn animated series and producing and starring in The Flight Attendant (a thriller based on the book of the same name).
PureWow sat down with the Big Bang Theory star to discuss everything from her latest partnership with Starbucks for their Shine from the Start campaign, which includes the release of their new Caramel Crème flavored coffee, to how she first got involved in the DC animated show.
“As I was starting Flight Attendant, Peter Roth from Warner Brothers called me and said, ‘Hey, we’re doing a really wacky Harley Quinn animated show, do you want to voice it?’ I kind of thought that it would be a cute little thing. So, at the time, I said, ‘You know, I’ve always wanted to do a kid's animated show,’ and they were like, ‘No, not for kids, let me tell you.’”
Cuoco went on to reveal what it’s like working on an R-rated cartoon and the experience of getting into the booth and actually voicing the character.
“When I read the script I didn’t realize it was so aggressive and rated R and insane,” she continued. “But, I have loved every second of it. It’s the biggest show on DC. The Harley Quinn I've grown up with is with Margot Robbie playing it and this is so different than that. It’s just Kaley playing Harley, I’m not trying to be anyone else and the fans seem to love it. There’s nothing more fun than going into a booth and screaming and cussing for two straight hours.”
Seems like the ultimate stress reliever to us.
