Duchess Sophie hasn’t slowed down since returning from holiday break. Not only did she receive a brand-new title, but she also celebrated her 60th birthday with a striking portrait that included a tiny detail.

And today, the Duchess of Edinburgh stopped by Dogs for Autism in Hampshire, which provides service dogs to people with autism. The royal was seen cuddling a puppy, who excitedly licked her hair. The dog was coincidently named “Prince Louis” after Prince William and Kate MIddleton’s youngest son, 6.

The royal family shared a slideshow of photos on its personal Instagram account and wrote, “The Duchess of Edinburgh has visited Dogs for Autism, where she heard about the positive impact of these assistance dogs.”

The caption continued, “The charity’s assistance dogs support people with autism by providing comfort, reducing anxiety, and improving their quality of life. At the charity’s Training Centre, trainee assistance dogs Buddy, Jack, and Finn demonstrated their training, and Her Royal Highness met the newest member of the team—9 week old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Louis!”

After the duchess’s visit, Laura McCreadie (fundraising manager and volunteer coordinator of Dogs for Autism) explained the meaning behind Prince Louis’s name (the dog, not the person).

“Louis was inspired by Prince Louis because he’s such a playful puppy,” she said (according to Irish News). “The duchess wanted to take him home with her. She was completely besotted and didn’t want to let him go.”

Is there such a thing as dog fever? Asking for a friend…
