Whenever I need a pick-me-up, I can always count on Jennifer Garner’s Instagram page to put a smile on my face. Her feed is filled with must-try recipes, hilarious confessions and even parenting fails.
Garner’s latest Instagram post included a tribute to her two sisters, Melissa and Susannah, who both have birthdays this week. The 13 Going on 30 actress, 52, shared a slideshow featuring rare childhood photos, and the family resemblance is uncanny.
The slideshow featured several never-before-seen photos of the Garner sisters, who are the spitting image of each other. Garner’s older sister, Melissa, could pass as her twin with those dimples. And the more I look at her younger sister, Susannah, the more I see the resemblance.
In the caption, Garner shared personal details about their close-knit sibling relationship. “My sisters’ birthdays fall on either side of this week, just as my sisters landed on either side of me,” she wrote. “Smashed in the middle, right between Melissa and Susannah, is where I belong—more than any other spot on the planet.”
The Alias star continued, “I’m more and more grateful to be the middle Garner Girl, buffered from the world by one big and one little. Happy birthday, Sisters.”
This isn’t the first time Garner has shared a childhood photo on social media. Back in 2023, the actress celebrated the back to school season by posting a throwback photo of herself in kindergarten, complete with an embroidered jumper and a classic bowl haircut.
The caption read, “Happy back to school, everyone, from kindergarten Jen in her homemade and hand embroidered jumper. Featuring a necklace earned by practicing piano.”
One thing’s for sure: Good genes run in the Garner family.
