OMG: Chrissy Teigen and Her Mom Are Getting Their Own Show

chrissy teigen and her mom

If you follow Chrissy Teigen on Instagram, you're familiar with her delightful mom, Vilailuck Teigen ("Pepper Thai," to those in the know).

In excellent news, mom and daughter are getting their own show and we kind of can't control our excitement.

Per Deadline, the comedy, Chrissy’s Court, will be available on Jeffrey Katzenberg and Meg Whitman’s short-form video platform Quibi, and is produced by Teigen’s Suit & Thai Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment.

In each episode, Chrissy will serve as the “judge” over a small claims case. Her mom's star turn will be in the role of “bailiff.” No word on when the show will premiere, but we're waiting with bated breath.

The announcement comes just after Teigen shared a sneak peek at yet another upcoming TV project, the NBC show Bring the Funny. That show, which will premiere July 9, features Teigen on a panel of judges (alongside SNL‘s Kenan Thompson and comedian Jeff Foxworthy). Together they'll choose a performer—from solo comics to sketch troupes to musicians, magicians, podcasters, puppeteers, YouTubers and more—to win a $250,000 prize package.

Earlier this month we learned that the model, mom and cookbook author signed a deal with Hulu to create and produce original content through Suit & Thai Productions.

One of the initial projects that is being developed is a cooking show, tentatively titled Family Style. The show will focus on the different ways that people use cooking, eating and food in general to bond with one another. In addition to Family Style, she's also working on another series, with the working title Eater’s Guide to the World. The show will explore some of the planet’s most interesting—and delicious—restaurants.

Chrissy is always a welcome edition to our TV, and her mom sweetens the deal even more.
