‘Bad Moms’ Is Returning to Theaters with an All-New Sequel

Better prepare the gals for even more NSFW stories, because Bad Moms is getting another sequel.

According to Variety, STX Films is developing a third film in the popular franchise, Bad Moms’ Moms.

Unlike the original film—which focused on Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn—the new version will center on the grandmothers that we met in the first sequel, A Bad Moms Christmas: Christine Baranski, Susan Sarandon and Cheryl Hines.

Don’t worry, the original trio are all expected to reprise their roles. Writer Jon Lucas and director Scott Moore are also returning for Bad Moms’ Moms.

Adam Fogelson, the chief of STX Films, announced the exciting news at CinemaCon. While discussing the third film, he referred to it as, “A whole new adventure that is attracting all sorts of great talent.”

The first film, Bad Moms, originally premiered in 2016 and introduced viewers to three careless moms: Amy (Kunis), Kiki (Bell) and Carla (Hahn). The second movie, A Bad Moms Christmas, hit theaters one year later and featured their respective mothers dropping in for a super quick, totally convenient holiday visit (yeah, right).

Although we don’t know much about Bad Moms’ Moms, the good news is we finally have an excuse to use our to-go wine glass.
