PureWow

Have you ever heard of a self-stirring mug? This Amazon gadget is, in fact, real and certainly has the potential to change the hot cocoa (or matcha) game for the better…so we had to give it a try.

On this episode of Take My Money, host Kate Kesselman tests out the Electric High-Speed Self-Stirring Cup ($19) to see if it really works. Keep reading for an honest review.

The video starts with Kesselman pouring a glass of hot milk into the mixer. And right away, she has a lot to say about the viral product. “So far, I like this just because it’s very cute,” she explains. However, if you are dealing with a hot beverage, then it might be “hard to hold.” She adds, “But I guess you can hold the [wooden] handle, so that might not be too big of a problem.”

Next, Kesselman pours in a scoop of cocoa powder and stirs it around until she has a cup of hot chocolate. “I love hot chocolate,” she reveals. “‘Tis the season.”

Watch the full episode above to hear Kesselman’s final rating and see whether or not the viral product lives up to the hype.
