There are some items that feel impossible to *really* clean (we’re looking at you, upholstery.) Whether or not you have pets (but especially if you do), you’ve probably experienced how removing stains on carpets, chairs and couches can become a losing battle, unless you have the right technique and the right tools. Enter: the Bissell Little Green Pet Pro ($165).

In this latest episode of PureWow’s YouTube series, Take My Money, host Kate Kesselman got her hands on the viral portable pet carpet cleaner and put it to the test. Is it really worth the $165 price tag? Keep reading to find out.

Kesselman starts the video by saying this carpet cleaner is a revamped version of Bissell’s Little Green Machine ($116; click here to read our review). When it’s time for her to turn on the machine, she’s alarmed by the loud sound it makes—so proceed with caution. “You can tell that it’s extremely loud and the suction is pretty strong. So, be careful,” Kesselman advises viewers.

To test out the product, Kesselman attempts to remove stains from a white chair. “I love this chair,” she shares in the vid. “It’s been through a lot [and] I got it for free. Sooo I never really cleaned it deeply and I really need to.”
