The Polo Collar Sweater Is Back for Round 2, and It’s Even Better Than Last Year

If we’re being totally honest, we’re not sure what we love more: the loose, casual cut of this knit or the fact that it comes in three covetable colors. Plus, since it’s made with 100 percent cashmere—including 70 percent recycled cashmere—it’s not too hard to justify that price tag.

If you are, however, looking for a cropped style, look no further than Reformation. Available in a lush caramel, charcoal gray and olive green, this particular polo is the type you’ll want to wear out. Seriously, just add leather pants.

Last year was all about the pullover, but in 2021 we’re seeing more and more collar-adorned cardigans. This super-cozy Madewell number is just the right amount of oversize, plus it also comes in a rich burgundy hue too.

This thin lilac knit works best as a chic top tucked into some high-waist jeans or a pleated skirt. Of course, you could also layer it over a silky cami and some skinny jeans for a night out instead.

True, this collar isn’t quite a polo cut, but it looks incredibly polished with zero effort. In fact, we might just splurge and pick up all five colors—one for each day of the workweek.

This button-up knit comes in four gorgeous colors, though we’re partial to the bubblegum pink for an unexpected pop against your other autumnal neutrals. It also has an ample front pocket where you can slip your iPhone if you’re running out to the store sans handbag.

The ribbed texture makes this knit look far more expensive than it really is. Plus, the gray heather hue goes equally well with black suiting as it does with distressed light-wash denim.

Combine two of the greatest fall trends, one old, one new, with a pumpkin spice colored pullover. Oh, and did we mention there are matching knit pants?

If you’re willing to spend a little extra, we highly suggest splurging on this alpaca wool knit. The combo of an exaggerated collar, ribbing and dots around the neck makes for a super interesting look despite being monochrome in color. Amp up those icy blue vibes by wearing winter white on bottom and accessorizing with silver jewelry.

This chocolatey brown cardi is adorable on its own, but add in the matching cable knit dress and you’ve got yourself the ultimate comfy, cozy holiday party look you can also wear for weekend lounging.
