We know Tory Burch for her fun, resort-y dresses and wear-everyday ballet flats, but she's also an accomplished philanthropist through her namesake foundation, which advances women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship in the United States by providing access to capital, education and digital resources.
The foundation's Fellows Program has provided more than $800,000 in grants to help women grow their businesses; the Tory Burch Capital Program, powered by Bank of America, has distributed over $57 million dollars in loans to more than 3,500 women entrepreneurs; and each month, the Foundation provides online tools and digital education to more than 300,000 women.
And on March 5, the foundation hosted its second Embrace Ambition Summit in New York City.
In celebration of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, the day-long event featured presentations, conversations and performances by notable people in business, Hollywood, sports and politics. What types of notable people? Glad you asked. Gloria Steinem, Halima Aden, Ashley Judd and Diane Von Furstenberg are just a few of the seriously impressive women who spoke.

What did Burch and the foundation's leaders hope attendees (and digital viewers) get from the day's events?
