Clinique Happy, strawberry-flavored Lip Smackers (ooh, and Bubblegum, too), MAC Lipglass, Noxzema Cleansing Cream: All of these products played an important part in my coming of age. They were my steady companions as I moved from state to state, school to school, and stage to stage of my young adulthood.
OK, now take a moment to think back to your own adolescence. What were your very first beauty buys? Perhaps it was a roll-on body glitter at Claire's—or a pack of colorful butterfly clips? Maybe the smell of Victoria's Secret "Love Spell" immediately transports you to the halls of your junior high.
Beauty evokes a powerful feeling of nostalgia for most of us. To that end, I called on a fellow "elder millennial" (to borrow a phrase from Iliza Shlesinger's Netflix special), friend and makeup artist Neil Scibelli, to recall and pay tribute to the products that we loved throughout the years.
