Who says rustic country getaways are just for couples? We say a long weekend in the Catskills with your best pals, some sheet masks and plenty of wine is good for the soul. But full-service lodging that can accommodate groups is surprisingly scarce. We’ve rounded up five charming spots that feature suites, cottages and bunks (!) that sleep six or more. Take a peek—then alert the group text, stat.
5 Upstate Inns Where You Can Bring Your Whole Squad
Hasbrouck House
We thought places like this existed only in our wildest dreams or on our “Vacation Goals” Pinterest boards. The well-appointed rooms of this 18th-century Dutch Colonial stone mansion are Instagram-perfect (we see you, soaking tub), the revolving menu at the in-house farm-to-table restaurant is as awe-inspiring as the moody decor and the location is right smack in the middle of all our favorite Hudson Valley towns like Kingston, Phoenicia and Woodstock. The Carriage House Grand Suite has three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a private patio where you can enjoy a glass of wine while you strategize ways to move in permanently. Sleeps 6

Foxfire Mountain House
Picture an enchanted oasis full of taxidermied animals, patterned rugs and Moroccan tiles and you’ll have a pretty good idea of this Catskills property. Attached to the revamped rustic inn is a three-bedroom cottage with a private entrance. It comes with two fireplaces and a fully equipped kitchen—not that you’ll need it, since the farm-to-table breakfast is included and the on-site restaurant is a must for dinner. Don’t forget to bring your four-legged besties, too: Foxfire is pet-friendly. Sleeps 6

Scribner’s Catskill Lodge
This mid-century revival is perched on the side of Hunter Mountain and surrounded by trees and grassy fields. The lodge’s largest room is a 600-square-foot suite, which is outfitted with a queen bed and sleeping loft with two full beds. When you’re not curled up in front of the fireplace in the sunken living room, you’ll want to breathe in that fresh alpine air from your private terrace. Sleeps 6 (up to 7 with additional fee)
13 Scribner Hollow Rd., Hunter, NY; scribnerslodge.com
Cedar Lakes Estate
If you want to quite literally relive your summer camp days, this is your place. Cedar Lakes Estate is run by two sisters with the help of an all-star female team. Situated around a private lake, the estate is full of camp nostalgia: There’s a small canteen, bonfire pits, hiking trails, a zipline and, of course, cabins outfitted with bunk beds for eight people. Don’t worry, though, this is far from roughing it: The beds are decked out with heated mattress pads and luxe linens, and there are high-end toiletries for use in the pristine communal bathhouses. Dear Mom: Greetings from camp. We never want to leave. Sleeps 8

Deer Mountain Inn
Wouldn’t it be nice if your grandparents had bought up acres of property in the Hudson Valley, built cozy log homes and decorated them with treasures and mismatched floral furniture acquired over the years—and then invited you and your girlfriends to come up anytime you please to enjoy the charming space and home-cooked meals? Well this is like that, but better (and, you know, real). In addition to the main lodge, there are two detached cottages (both built in the 1800s), each equipped with four bedrooms and a full dining room. Each home has everything you need for a private stay, but we suggest making use of the lodge amenities (like the complimentary breakfast or the $72 Michelin-starred chef tasting menu). Sleeps 9
