That’s not all: TripAdvisor also named Acqualina the top beachfront resort in the continental U.S., and U.S. News & World Report said the same thing. To reiterate: That’s a serious endorsement from three major outlets. NBD. We decided to investigate, and it’s not hard to see why this place is so beloved.

Located on Sunny Isles Beach, the five-star property is home to 98 hotel rooms and 188 residences. (Yes, a select few actually call this dream of a place home—imagine this as your view every day.) Upon check-in, guests are greeted with champagne, and every room (all of which are modeled after modern Italian villas) includes a complimentary treat of homemade biscotti.

The hotel also includes an outpost of the beloved Il Mulino New York (order the porcini ravioli, grilled octopus and aged prosciutto with melon and berries) and, not least of all, a 20,000-square-foot spa with ocean views.
Did we mention the four pools and the red umbrella–lined private beach spanning over four acres of coastline? It’s no wonder this place is racking up the accolades. We’re suddenly inspired to book a staycation.
