Remember last year when Venus Williams was guiding us through major workouts from her own backyard? Well, as it turns out, she has another space in her private home where she’s been “pumping iron”—her garage.
On Tuesday, the 40-year-old tennis pro shared a glimpse into her garage-turned-home-gym in a slideshow on Instagram.
“I set up a gym in my garage since covid started, which is great bc I love weights and pumping iron, which is a great supplement to the body weight workouts from #coachvenus. It’s very hot in Florida now so I’m dyyying in here, the drip is real, and so are the #gains,” she captioned the post. We love the commitment.
In the images, we see Williams—sporting new blue locks—posing for the camera in her workout space. And while we can’t see too much of the gym, we did notice that it is equipped with an elliptical, a bike and a handful of weights. For a garage, it seems pretty legit.
As we mentioned earlier, last March (we can’t believe it’s been a year already), Williams began hosting daily mid-day workout demos on Instagram live to lift her followers’ spirits and keep them in fighting shape. Williams's daily fitness break was geared toward all fitness levels and focused on how to perfectly execute one move at a time using things you have around this house in place of any fancy gym equipment.
With a gym like this, it totally makes sense how Venus stays in such great shape.
