Prince William Jokes About Putting on Quarantine Weight: ‘Chocolate Goes Down Very Well’

We may not be royal like Prince William, but that doesn't mean we don’t have the same struggles when it comes to lockdown. As it turns out, the 37-year-old has been worried about putting on quarantine weight. Well, welcome to the club, William.

On Tuesday, the Duke of Cambridge paid a visit to the ambulance base at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Norfolk (his first public outing since mid-March), where he spoke with first responders about their mental health and, apparently, his eating habits.

"I'm worried about the waistline of the nation as well with all the chocolate and cakes," he told the crew according to People. “I've done a lot of baking at home. Chocolate goes down very well.” (Is it rude to refer to him as the Duke of Obvious Statements?)

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about the baking that goes on in the kitchen of the Cambridges’ Anmer Hall home. Back in April, Kate Middleton revealed that cooking is a way she has been keeping herself (and her three children) busy.

"Honestly, you get to the end of the day and you write down the list of all the things that you’ve done in that day,” she told BBC. “So, you pitch a tent, take the tent down again, cook, bake. You get to the end of the day—they have had a lovely time—but it is amazing how much you can cram into one day that's for sure.”

Looks like the love of chocolate runs in the family.
