Even royals are not immune to having wardrobe malfunctions every now and then.

On June 17, Duchess Sohpie, 59, was joined by King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and other members of the British royal family for the Order of the Garter service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

According to the official royal website, the Order of the Garter is the oldest and the most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain, which was created by King Edward III almost 700 years ago. Earlier that day, the Duchess of Gloucester was appointed as the Royal Lady of the Most Noble Order of the Garter.

A carousel of photos taken at the ceremonial service were shared on the official Instagram page dedicated to the British royal family. One of the moments captured on camera was a sweet interaction between Prince William and his aunt, Duchess Sophie.

In the snapped photo, the Duchess of Edinburgh is attempting to hold onto her hat as it appears to be seconds away from falling off. Meanwhile, she is talking to her nephew, the Prince of Wales, who is wearing a regal blue velvet robe adorned with a red sash and honorary medals.

We even get a snap of the Prince of Wales trying to adjust his own hat while standing beside his aunt, who is having a hard time with hers. #TheStruggleIsReal

But that’s not the last we see of Prince William, Duchess Sophie and her falling hat. Another snap shows the Prince of Wales walking beside his uncle, Prince Edward, and aunt, Duchess Sophie, as she walks with one hand on her headpiece. Though she is smiling throughout the interaction, you can tell she’s having quite a bit of trouble trying to keep her hat upright. On the bright side, she did manage to prevent it from flying off.

This latest royal wardrobe malfunction comes a couple of days after Princess Anne experienced a public mishap of her own. As she rode on horseback behind her brother, King Charles, and his wife, Queen Camilla, during Trooping the Colour, the 73-year-old royal’s horse became restless and fell behind. The Princess Royal handled the situation like a total pro as she quickly regained control of the horse without attracting too much attention.

When faced with a wardrobe malfunction or mishap, the royals know how to keep their cool.
