Remember When Lizzo Dressed as Marge Simpson? Now She’s on ‘The Simpsons’

Lizzo, 35, hands down won Halloween last year when she dressed up as Marge Simpson from the beloved animated series, The Simpsons. Now, the “Truth Hurts” singer has made her official debut on the show. In celebration of her cameo, she shared a video of her character’s appearance on social media.

In the new scene shared on her Instagram page, the Grammy award winner is jamming out in the recording studio with Homer and two of his children, Bart and Lisa. The singer, who is rocking a navy blue outfit from her Yitty clothing brand, takes out her own “Sasha Flute” and starts performing a few notes with Lisa playing the trumpet and Bart making a beat by slapping his dad Homer in the face. 

The “About Damn Time” singer wrote in the caption, “Every Icon has been on @thesimpsons—now I can add my name to the list! Thank you to the whole team for making this a dream come true [pink emoji with stars] (yes I’m wearing @yitty and playing @sashabefluting ) !!!!”

Before sharing the sneak peek clip of her grand debut, the Watch Out for the Big Grrrls star excitedly shared a photo of her character sitting with the Simpson family on their famous living room couch. “TONIGHT I'M ON @thesimpsons,” she wrote in the caption.

Lizzo (who is a big Simpsons fan) teased her surprise appearance on the show back in February, where fans had a chance to see the first look photo of her character. 

In the pic, she is posing in front of a colorful backdrop while wearing her blue Yitty outfit with matching blue nails and white sneakers. The caption read in all caps: “SEE YOU IN SPRINGFIELD, B*TCH.”

Seeing her character appear on The Simpsons has been a full-circle moment for the singer, who completely embodied Marge Simpson for Halloween 2022 by covering her body with yellow paint and rocking the character’s signature tall blue hairdo.
