Kelly Ripa may have a team of stylists, a massive closet and more than one wardrobe. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t practice the same shopping methods that we do. Case in point? Her pair of sparkly tights that she purchased on Instagram. Allow us to explain.
On Thursday, the producers of Live with Kelly and Ryan shared a pre-show behind-the-scenes clip on social media. In the clip, the television personality (looking chic in a black Ba&sh dress) and Ryan Seacrest are seen making their way to the stage to begin shooting. “Today’s NEW show was recorded earlier this week!” the post’s caption read.
While we love a good puff sleeve dress, it was her d.bleu. bedazzled tights that really stole the show. Lucky for us, Ripa even revealed the story of how she got them. Seacrest can be heard in the video commenting on his co-host’s accessory. “Look at your sparkly socks,” he says to which Ripa replies, “I Instagram shopped these because I thought one day I would go to a club. But…” That’s right—looks like even Ripa can’t say no to some of those IG ads. (We also have a ton of items in our closet still waiting to be worn.)
The American Idol star is clearly the #1 fan of the “socks,” because later in the clip he even started a round of applause for them from the Live crew. “I like when you call them socks,” Ripa says at the end of the video.
